The Dynamic Earth National Geographic 914 x 610mm Wall Map

The Dynamic Earth map illustrates plate tectonics and features stunning bathymetry and naturally coloured relief, as well as volcano and earthquake data through 2011. Like pieces of a giant jigsaw puzzle, tectonic plates fit together to form the earth's outer shell. The interaction of these plates causes earthquakes and volcanoes and shapes the earth's crust into mountains, valleys and deep-sea trenches. The Dynamic Earth map illustrates 17 major tectonic plates and highlights diffuse plate boundaries, convergent boundaries, spreading boundaries, fault zones, hot spots, notable earthquakes and volcanic eruptions of the 20th and 21st centuries, earthquakes with a magnitude of greater than 6.5 during the 20th and early 21st centuries, and notable volcanic eruptions during the past 10,000 years.

The map can come either printed on heavyweight 160 gsm paper or laminated. The paper version is perfect for framing under glass, and the laminated version is exceptionally hard-wearing as we use a true encapsulation of two pieces of 80-micron gloss laminate.

Alternatively, we can supply this map on 395 gsm HP Professional Matte Canvas using pigment-based inks - making the map highly durable and fade resistant. The easiest way to hang your canvas map is by having wooden hang rollers attached top and bottom with a hanging cord on the top roller, so all you have to do is put a hook in the wall. The hang rails come lacquered in a natural timber colour.
